Macallan Classic Cut "2017 Limited Edition" Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky (750ml)

This limited edition Macallan harkens back to an older and much lauded regular release, The Macallan Cask Strength. Adopting the royal crimson colored label - a color made famous by its predecessor - is a warning of the impending intensity of this exceptional Highland Single malt whisky. The Macallan Classic Cut is aged exclusively in sherry seasoned oak from Jerez and bottled without the addition of any water prior to bottling. This preserves the extraordinary character of this most exalted of Highland malts. The higher proof adds texture and depth, hig... Read More »

Suntory 12 Year Old "Hakushu" Japanese Peated Single Malt Whisky (750ml) (Previously $90)

91 points Wine Enthusiast: "This golden, silky single malt mingles vanilla and honey with fresh apple and pear aromas. These notes are echoed on the palate alongside a wave of peat smoke. Add a splash of water to offset the modest but persistent alcohol heat and further coax out the fruity-smoky flavors. (KN)" (12/2015) Whisky Advocate: "Although only two years older, this expression of Hakushu — the first to be launched in the U.S. — shows a fleshier side to the distillery’s wares. While it has retained the freshness of the 10 year old, it shows more pineapple and grapefruit on the nose, with a littl ...Read More »

2015 Noemia de Patagonia "A Lisa" Malbec Rio Negro

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 A Lisa is mostly Malbec with some 9% Merlot and a 1% pinch of Petit Verdot, a wine that shows the potential of Río Negro in Patagonia and the style of Noemía at a very attractive price and at the same time is easy to drink. 2015 seems to be an excellent vintage in the region, and this wine, which only saw 30% of its volume in neutral, well-seasoned oak barrels while the rest was kept in stainless steel for some nine months, shows a balance and freshness that can compete with the fines vintages produced. In his search towards elegance, finesse an ...Read More »

Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Small Batch Bottled in Bond Straight Kentucky Bourbon (750ml) (1 bottle limit)

This bourbon, bottled in bond, was aged for seven years in the famous Colonel Taylor's warehouse built in 1881. It is the latest from the sought-after E.H. Taylor line from Buffalo Trace Distillery. Soft and subtle, this is easily the most approachable and affordable of the recent Taylor releases. The Bottled in Bond Act of 1897 means that the bourbon come from barrels all produced at one distillery, in a single season, and then stored in a bonded warehouse for at least four years before being bottled at 100 proof.

Mulholland American Whiskey (750ml)

This magical creation from LA's newest bottler of fine spirits represents the hottest product in Hollywood. The buzz is out because this whiskey represents the future of whiskey world and it's damn tasty. Logic tells us that it must be young but certainly doesn't taste like the pleuthora of young whiskey flooding the market these days. Distilled in Indiana, aged in Owensboro Kentucky, and bottled in Los Angeles, this is seriously drinkable stuff for the price. The 94% corn mashbill lends itself to this easy drinking style and a tiny bit of rye is added t... Read More »

2015 Domaine Marc Sorrel "Le Gréal" Hermitage Rouge

97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Marc Sorrel says, "I think it’s the best vintage I’ve made," of the whole-cluster-fermented 2015 Hermitage Le Greal, and who am I to argue with that? It’s a profoundly deep and intense wine, rich in mouth-drying tannins, yet packed with cassis fruit and notes of licorice, mocha and black olives. Give this full-bodied wine another 7 years in the cellar, and drink it over the next two decades. 97+ (JC) Sorrel is an often-overlooked source of fine Hermitage that’s often generous and approachable in its youth because the sourcing doesn’t include the more au ...Read More »

Lagavulin "2016 Edition" 12 Year Old Natural Cask Strength Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky (750ml) (Previously $130)

The magic is real. This stellar limited release is Lagavulin's top regular bottling and it drinks like nothing else in the store. Lagavulin's string of 12-year-old releases has always begged the question from consumers: why is the 12 year old $40 more than the older 16-year expression? Good question! For one, the Lagavulin 16 is made in gigantic quantities and sold in every liquor store from San Francisco to Shanghai, making it a competitively priced product. On top of that, the 12 year old is bottled at cask strength and not produced in nearly as high o... Read More »

On a beautifully situated property overlooking the town of Montréal-du-Gers, lies the Château de Pellehaut. Purchased by Gaston Béraut shortly after the Second World War, he has slowly developed one of the largest single properties in the region. Béraut's sons Mathieu and Martin take care of winemaking (the red, white and rose are all big sellers at K&L) and the élevage of Armagnac. 2015 Zind Humbrecht Riesling Alsace (Biodynamic)

Medium to full body, a bone-dry palate and a gorgeous finish. Rich and flavorful yet only 11.5% alcohol. Don't miss this. Biodynamically grown grapes all from around the winery in Turckheim. (11/2010) 92-94 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An upper register and highly complex nose of green apples, white pear and citrus notes introduces almost painfully intense, pure and impressively powerful big-bodied and overtly muscular flavors that possess an almost aggressive minerality on the palate staining, tension-filled and dri ...Read More »

Tariquet Bas "Classique" VS Armagnac (750ml)

Perhaps our best deal on brandy of any kind, this is outrageously smooth and supple to the point that I can't imagine anyone truly not enjoying it. The fruit is all handpicked and the Grassa family has been making it in a pot still since 1911. It spends only three years in barrel, which seems impossible when you feel its velvety texture in your mouth. The aromas are very delicate with dried apricots and caramel sifting gently in. The palate is lush with rich barrel flavors of baking spice. The finish has gobs of fruit, to the point that you'd think this ... Read More »

Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Bottled in Bond Straight Kentucky Rye (750ml)

Named for former owner E. H. Taylor Jr., this is the fifth release in this limited edition bottled-in-bond 100 proof whiskey from Buffalo Trace Distillery. It is notable in that it is using an undisclosed mashbill consisting of only rye and malted barley. The proportions are not disclosed, neither is the use of malted rye, if used at all. The profile is herbal and peppery with a distinct dried citrus aroma. The intense spice is balanced by a rich sweet-side. A welcome, if unusual, offering from Buffalo Trace.

2004 Pol Roger "Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill" Brut Champagne

98 points Decanter: "Sir Winston is looking particularly dignified and refined in 2004, with a surprisingly primary, youthful air, yet all the understated poise that one can expect of this classic cuvée. A cascade of impeccably refined acidity swirls into a river of minerality that flows deep and swift all the way to the distant horizon. Effortless grace and youthful vigour lurk under that distinguished exterior. Dense grilled nuts nose, backward and youthful, and shows aromatic depth at the expense of immediate charm. The same luscious flavors show up on the palate, rich and sweet, leading into a confected finish of Nutella sprinkled with nutmeg and cinnamon. The sugar-and-spice effect is due to 18 months finishing time in casks that first held Cognac, then Caribbean rum." The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly waxy texture, nicely balanced with white peach and strawberry notes, a touch of dried orange peel, fanning out gently towards an appealing, easy-drinking finish that lingers in the mouth. 95-97 points Vinous: "(entirely destemmed, as these thick-skinned grapes were extremely high in tannins and total polyphenols): Saturated dark red-ruby. Distinctly dark aromas of black cherry, licorice and violet convey an impression of medicinal reserve. Powerful black cherry, crunchy raspberry and licorice flavors boast remarkable intensity and energy but come across as less austere at this stage than normal. Full malty foundation (with some ripe barley thrown in). Soft, creamy vanilla, honeycomb, bright fruit (orange, nectarine, lemon peel, hints of pineapple), with emerging dried vanilla, coconut, oak resin, and subtle anise. Polished oak finish. Upright Brewing Company "Ives ONE" Still Barrel Fermented Lambic Oregon (375ml)

Ives is a label we created for a series of "wild" wheat based beers rooted in the classics from Brussels. In typical Upright fashion, our take is not meant to copy an existing style or specific beer, but to use other examples as a starting point and inspiration. All of the beers under this label use raw wheat and an unusual mash process intended to slowly draw out the barrel fermentation and aging process, creating depth. This first release is a blend of only four casks, all of which were inoculated with orchard yeast and bacteria. After 19 months in the... Read More »

As Balvenie continues its trajectory toward Glenfiddich/Glenlivet/Macallan status, competing with Glenmorangie for a spot in the Final Four, their quality remains steadfast. Jefferson's Reserve "Ocean Voyage" Aged at Sea Very Small Batch Bourbon (750ml)

This bourbon started out as an experiment with just three bourbon barrels as Jefferson's CEO Trey Zoeller decided to see what would happen if Bourbon was left to age on a ship in extreme weather conditions. From the distillery: "The result was a thick, dark bourbon that showcases complex flavors reminiscent of other spirits; the almost black color and caramel flavors resemble a dark rum as the sugars within the barrels caramelized; the briny, savory taste from the barrels breathing the sea air is reminiscent of Islay Scotch; and at its core, it’s a true... This most recent batch of Springbank's fan favorite 12 year old cask strength is right in line with what the distillery does best: hints of amontillado sherry on the nose with savory almond notes and accents of caramelized fruit.
